<< Akari Yokokawa, RMT/CDT >>

My career in health care began as a Registered Nurse in Japan. After several years of working in the Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Emergency Room, Hemodialysis, and teaching in a Medical Company, I decided to change my career to massage therapy.

In Canada, I graduated from Elmcrest College (now Bryan College) with honours and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Soon after graduation, my passion led me to study Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and I completed my MLD/CDT training from Dr. Vodder School International and Dr. Vodder Akademie in Austria.

As majority of clients are women, I started to gravitate my interests and focus more to the women's health including breast and pelvic health such as infertility and menstrual pain, I studied Mercier Therapy from Dr. Jeniffer Mercier in Chicago.

Now I am a Vodder-Certified Therapist and offering specialized treatments with MLD/CDT. I am proud to be the second Certified Mercier Therapist in Canada and serving care for women with pelvic problems and fertility challenges.

In addition, I am a part-time student at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, happily learning Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
