I completed wound management course Level1, 2 with University of Victoria in BC, Canada, June 16th, 2012.
Swelling can delay healing thus a contributing factor of chronic wound, it is important to control swelling in order to have proper wound healing.
In this wound management course, I learned variety of intervention to improve healing, what kind of treatment can be applied to different conditions, and deeper level of wound/skin assessments. This clearly showed how important the lymphatic work is for wound healing.
We had a presentation and skill evaluation sessions, as well as practiced debridement (removal of dead or damaged tissues to promote healing) at the end of the course.
